How Do We ZOOM To Learn ?

Updated: Apr 28, 2020

So just how do we manage to create a direct, explicit teaching program On-Line ?

The Programs are delivered via a live webcam conferencing platform called ZOOM.

The ZOOM lessons are interactive and multi-sensory continuing to involve the student in the manipulation of letters, sounds, words, numbers and resources etc on screen and off.

The students may use notebooks, tablets or laptops while the tutor uses video conferencing, screen sharing, interactive whiteboards and educational games to interact with learners. Both the tutor and student are able to interact whilst annotating and manipulating worksheets and tasks on the screen. The use of traditional paper and pencil, and manipulative resources are also valuable parts of the literacy and numeracy programs provided. The use of a document camera to enhance the view of the teacher’s table work enables the student to view and interact with this part of the lesson. It would also be beneficial for the student to have a movable web camera to show the student’s table work to the tutor.

An individualised Learning Pack with appropriate multi-sensory resources, equipment, and exercise books with learning materials are posted to support learning after the initial FREE consultation and booking confirmation.

The SeeSaw classroom platform may be used between booked lessons to share and discuss completed work and to answer any questions that the student may have.

Overall, the On-Line learning experience makes it possible to help your child reach their full potential, especially when access to high quality tuition is not available
